Bantam Cottage and Ixworth Cottage are superbly converted from barns in the original farm courtyard of this working smallholding. They offer extremely comfortable and well-appointed holiday accommodation.

Briefly, the accommodation in each cottage comprises open plan living/dining/kitchen and cloakroom, two double bedrooms and bathroom. Both Bantam Cottage and Ixworth Cottage feature all mod cons, including central heating and fully fitted kitchens with dishwashers, and bathrooms with power showers.

Outside, each of the cottages has its own private area with patio, large wooden table with bench seating and chairs, parasol and barbeque, providing an ideal spot for relaxing and, weather permitting, eating al fresco.

Little Woodford
Little Woodford is also home to a variety of farm animals, including our handsome Wiltshire Horn sheep – The Girls, Rambo the Ram, Pigs, chickens, our dogs Double and Trouble, Sooty and Blue the cats, Also depending on the time of the year there are Piglets, Chicks and Lambs.

Free-range eggs and delicious homemade jams are always available on request. As self-confessed ‘foodies’, please ask if there is ‘extra’ kitchen equipment you need for a special recipe, as we’ll usually be able to supply it!

Around Little Woodford
Two minutes walk to the right of Little Woodford is a lovely stroll down the River Otter to the famous Tumbling Weir. Three minutes walk to the left is the famous Otter Nurseries with its fabulous plants as well as gifts, clothes and restaurant. Opposite is Joshua’s Harvest Store with its range of organic and whole foods and wonderful gifts, Joshua’s also has an excellent coffee shop.

We‘ll be delighted to suggest many beautiful local country walks and cycle rides – long and short, near and far – and if you enjoy fishing (licence permitting) there are plenty of opportunities for you to cast your rod!
